I ended up reverting back to Windows 7 in the end and the card got recognised again. So what's the problem here? Windows 10 doesn't recognise my card no matter what I do. Obviously, this isn't a solution as that adapter is needed by another PC.

To test whether it was an actual issue with Windows detecting Wi-Fi, I began to install a USB wireless adapter (that another PC uses) to see if it would work using that it did, I could connect to the Internet perfectly fine using that adapter. It said it had successfully installed the card, yet it still failed to show in Device Manager. I tried to manually install the driver by going to the manufacturer's website (I had to select Windows 7 OS to get the correct driver as they do not have one for W10), downloading it to a USB and then connecting the USB to that PC to install it on there. It doesn't appear in Device Manager at all, not even when 'show hidden devices' is selected. My wireless card does not get recognised by Windows 10.
